Everything began on a weekend in 2001 when we went to buy a cow and a calf to give more life to our farm. We went back accompanied by two Limousine cows – Joana and Zulmira, which we admired from the first moment on.

The same feeling lead us two months later to a Limousine exhibition in Limoges and we came back not only with two, but with eighteen beautiful female calves and an amazing bull!...

Since then it was the miracle of the multiplication…

Then we took part in some competitions, had some great results… Urbano, the first calf born on our farm, won in 2005 the National Junior Male Championship ”Campeão Nacional de Esperanças Machos”. He is one of the animals we are proud of! The most important was not winning the prize, but the fact of having reached such an high level in Limousine breeding in such a short period of time.

It is still a charm, every morning we look out of the window. But now, it is not only the poesy of the landscape and the musicality of the rattles that leads us. Now we feel also the responsibility of managing this little farm and all the tasks involved.
